DEPRESSED?

Sad?  Discouraged?  Dejected?  Despondent? Gloomy? Doomed?

DEPRESSION IS THE RESULT OF BAD CHOICES AND THE RESULT OF A SELF INFLICTED  INABILITY TO REACT RATIONALLY.

DEPRESSION IS THE RESULT OF THE INABILITY TO MINIMIZE CONFUSION

As you  live and interact with your acquaintances and surroundings, most of your choices are made because of those acquaintances and surroundings. Just by being in their presence you are influenced, even controlled by, relatives, friends, neighbors, business acquaintances and objects.  You can minimize your depression substantially by altering your "in the house / out of the house / surroundings and interpersonal influences.

Because these depressing influences often alter the way you perceive the world and how you think, they can also cause you  to perceive yourself, as something less than what you really are - you get depressed.

So, in summation, it could be said that your depression quite possibly has been determined by other people and your surroundings. Because you are depressed, you often further smother yourself with more depression by changing the acquaintances and objects in your surroundings you should keep and substitute them for other depressing persons and things that comfort you in your depression. Like they say, "Misery loves company." Unfortunately, a depressed person doesn't usually realize this and perpetuates themselves in depression or some other non helpful diversion.

Our minds usually have a plan of some sort to follow. Any interruption to that plan causes anger and/or depression.

Do you get mad because...

Someone is talking at the movies? (You wanted to relax, enjoy a movie and get away from the world for awhile.)

Someone doesn't use their turn signals and you waited for them? (you waited for some inconsiderate person for no reason.)

You are on time for an appointment and have to wait? (Why is my time less important than the doctors'?)

Likewise, your mind has been disturbed by uncontrollable outside influences. Unfortunately, you may suffer the same anger with no apparent cause - you may have unwittingly set up disturbances in your surroundings as you tried to exist and cope in your daily life. You may have sabotaged yourself into, and surrounded yourself with, depression, anger, frustration, anxiety....

Did you know that people and objects in your surroundings can cause cellular memories that depress you? even destroy or kill you!?

Did you know your cellular memories can have you programmed and condition you to act in certain ways while all the time you think you are in control!?

Have you ever said to yourself

"Why me?"

"Where did I go wrong?"

"Why do some people get all the luck"

chances are your cellular memories are the culprit!

Want to stamp out negativity/ self destruction ?

Burst out to a new you?

Activate a new you?

Gain control of your life!

TOTEMS AND TOKENS

We see them everyday in the news, the movies, politics, entertainment, business and sports. Some are people, animals or other living things, some are innocent looking or symbolic objects. They are predominate our lives, yet we often hardly notice them. If we do notice them, we seldom realize their power over us.  They control us with and without our cooperation.

Who and what are these people and things? They are our role models and controllers-our Totems, and our favorite things-our Tokens.

I have capitalized Totem to signify that I am speaking of a Totem as a role model or controlling/influence in your life.

Simplified, a Totem can be a person, animal or plant. A Totem does not have to be alive in the present, they can be dead - Gandhi, or not living yet - a coming Messiah. A Totem can be Imaginary. For example a cartoon character - Superman, or a fictional book character - Agent 007, can be a Totem.

Likewise I have capitalized Token to refer to things you hold dear. Simplified, a Token is any object or thing that you consciously or sub consciously, have a mental or emotional attachment to. For example, a lucky Bingo troll, Grandmas’ wedding ring, an old photo.

The Totems and Tokens of other people might or might not mean the same to them as yours do to you. Your neighbors favorite baseball player, yard statue or watch all might mean almost nothing to you, but to them they may have significant meaning.

As you read this, you may think everyone and everything is a Totem or Token. Just by acknowledging the existence of everything, we do, in a minor way, Totemize or Tokenize to some extent. For the purpose of this writing, a Totem or a Token relies on the special supplemental power you give it. The more power you consciously or subconsciously give or allow it to have over you, the more it influences you.

Your Totems and Tokens are your personal selection. Usually our most common personal Totems are our friends, work associates, relatives and perhaps a nationally famous personality - a sports hero, an actor or a politician for example.

Although the Totems and Tokens of others are of a different selection, however, within a family, group or society, they may be a similar. If Dad likes the Red Sox, it is likely Jimmy does too.

At times your Totems and Tokens can control you without your knowledge or consent, a major source of a confused life.
